Snow Valley - Fakten Skigebiet

Snow Valley has been around for a good 70 years or so and is still a popular resort located in the San Bernardino Mountains east of the Los Angeles area. It is well known for its fun atmosphere and being a great place to go with friends and/or family of any ability level since the terrain is pretty evenly distributed from beginner to advanced, giving everyone plenty of choices while not being so large of a mountain that you never see each other. It is also well know for a great terrain park with plenty of different features to keep even the most diehard freeriders entertained throughout the day. Terrain Snow Valley's terrain covers about 240 acres and a vertical of about 1040 feet. There are a total of 14 lifts, including the conveyor lift, and 35 trails. Usually lift lines are not a problem at Snow Valley, which means you get to spend most of your time skiing and riding, not waiting. Beginners have a triple chair and two doubles that pretty much cover their options with Thunder Mountain, Eagle Flats and Coyote Flats, all green trails. Snow Valley also has an excellent staff at their Ski and Snowboard Learning Center and offer a number of different lesson options. So don't be afraid to get out there and give it a shot! The intermediate and advanced terrain is spread out over the rest of the mountain and free riders have to check out The Edge Terrain Park which offers up over a mile worth of all kinds of hits, spines, banks and tabletops. After a day on the slopes there are six different eateries to choose from on-site and lodging in nearby Running Springs and Lake Arrowhead. Off-slope Fun On-site there is a great snowplay area with sledding and sled rentals. Off-site there is cross country skiing.
