| The resorts ratings are calculated not using a simple math average formula, but a bayesian one that also uses the number of user-ratings as parameter. This means that a resort with a low number of user-ratings will be closer to the neutral rating (3.5) than the simple math-average, whereas a resort with a high number of rating will have a rating closer to the math average. In addition to this the same user can only have one evalutation for each resort, so if he re-rates the same resort the old ratings are overwritten by the new one. |
